Our classroom environment September 2015

Hello Everyone
Here are some of the views of our classroom.
This is part of our James Cook Museum.
Spot some of the exhibits your children have done over the holidays.

We have created the view from James Cook's cabin whilst he was on board The Endeavour - his first major voyage. He had very little space but a wide wide ocean to look out onto.
(Wonder if he saw anything like  the views experienced in our class book we will be reading together..........)

Our reflection wall helps us to focus upon our core values, be in touch with our emotions and help us to care about each other and the world beyond.

Just  an overview of some of the fantastic art work and Design and Technology work as experienced and enjoyed by every  child.

Year 5/6  have really begun the year  capturing the flavour and essence of our project this term.

Onward we sail out into the blue
Discovering places far  and few
Experiencing people in far off lands
Learning cultures we don't understand

The  next quote is relevant to our class book which makes constant references to Coleridge's Ancient Mariner . But relevant are the following quotes:

Water, water, everywhere
But not a drop to drink
He prayeth best, who loveth best
All things both great and small;
For the dear God who loveth us,
He made and loveth all.
( Coleridge - Ancient Mariner)
