Tudor Houses
A selection of the fabulous Tudor houses created by Year 5/6 during a topic about the Tudors.
There is evidence of research to capture the true essence of how Tudor buildings were constructed.
Great evidence year 5/6.

Our classroom environment September 2015
Hello Everyone
Here are some of the views of our classroom.
Here are some of the views of our classroom.
This is part of our James Cook Museum.
Spot some of the exhibits your children have done over the holidays.
We have created the view from James Cook's cabin whilst he was on board The Endeavour - his first major voyage. He had very little space but a wide wide ocean to look out onto.
(Wonder if he saw anything like the views experienced in our class book we will be reading together..........)
Our reflection wall helps us to focus upon our core values, be in touch with our emotions and help us to care about each other and the world beyond.
Just an overview of some of the fantastic art work and Design and Technology work as experienced and enjoyed by every child.
Year 5/6 have really begun the year capturing the flavour and essence of our project this term.
Onward we sail out into the blue
Discovering places far and few
Experiencing people in far off lands
Learning cultures we don't understand
The next quote is relevant to our class book which makes constant references to Coleridge's Ancient Mariner . But relevant are the following quotes:
Water, water, everywhere
But not a drop to drink
He
prayeth best, who loveth best
All
things both great and small;
For
the dear God who loveth us,
He
made and loveth all.
( Coleridge - Ancient Mariner)

A New term in Year 5/6 with Mrs Henderson
Welcome to the new school Year.
What a fabulous first week back! All children seem enthusiastic about their new class and are keen to do their best.
Thank you.
We have been busy already drawing botanical drawings that Joseph Banks and his fellow scientists would have done when they were with James Cook's exciting and notorious explorations around the world particularly in the Southern Seas. I hope you enjoy some of the photos taken this week of these drawings and the children's interpretations of the Easter Island Statues.
More information about these can be found on this link:
